Full Disclosure

You don't really know me. You only know me as a guy you've seen on the internet who enjoys taking care of his lawn.

But, there's more to it than that. There is more to me than that.

It's not just about the lawn. It's about sharing my passion, my creativity, and a part of my life that, though many find unusual, many others relate to.

Before I started making videos I never would've imagined putting myself on camera and filming myself doing anything, let alone yard work. And on top of that, I never imagined anyone would actually watch my videos. I started making videos to document my progress and projects around the yard.

Before I started making videos, I never really felt a part of a community (aside from family and church). But I have learned that there are people out there, regular, average people, not just in the U.S., but across the world, who have goals and desires to have a nice looking lawn. I have learned that there is an incredible community of people out there, that like me, just want to help each other with those shared goals and desires, and I love that! And, most importantly, I love being a part of that.

I know what it takes to get there. In fact, I know what it takes to get there from _literally_ nothing. My yard started as extremely rocky clay dirt full of weeds. I had no idea what I was doing. My wife and I spent many nights clearing weeds and digging up rocks. Then we threw seed down right on top of that new construction finish grade (no topsoil), covered it with mulch, turned on the sprinklers and hoped for the best.

Since then I've struggled, learned, failed, and succeeded. I've met and learned from some extremely great and intelligent people, and have been introduced to some great products. Do I know all the things? Not even close. But I know the basics, how to find answers, and I know how to achieve success.

I like to help people. I feel obligated to share my knowledge and experience for the betterment of others who seek learning. I'm not a professional in the lawn care industry (I work full-time as a software engineer). I just want to show people who watch my videos and follow me that an average guy can learn and do and have success. I want to show people that success can come without professional help and without breaking the bank.

I also want to show people there is no correct or perfect way to tend a lawn. One person's preference for their own lawn fertility program is not the law or standard for everyone else, nor should it be. If you want to mow tall, then mow tall. If you want to mow short, go for it. Heck, I'm currently mowing my backyard tall and my front yard short.

Don't like it? I don't care.

My lawn is not your lawn.

I don't do what I do for attention. I do what I do so other average people like me can see that it's really not hard to achieve your goals when it comes to a nice looking lawn. All it takes is time, effort, and patience.

So before you decide to ~~use~~ waste your time by leaving a mean or rude comment on a post or video, or click the thumbs down/dislike button, etc., just remember, there is a real person on the receiving end of those things, and that person put in a lot of time (hours) to provide whatever content it is that you're disrespecting.

This world can be a much better place if we choose to encourage and inspire each other rather than troll and criticize. If you don't like my content, don't follow me. It won't hurt my feelings, I promise.

Bottom line, I'm a real person, and it's just grass. And if you can't agree with that, then...

Get off my lawn.
